Video Quote of the Day

by: Juan Melli

Fri Mar 23, 2007 at 12:40:58 PM EDT

From the Real Bergen Democrats campaign kickoff last night:
I will tell you what has made me the happiest in my public career was being listed as a "hot tag" on Blue Jersey. That is something that my grandchildren will hear about quite regularly - that grammy is a hot tag. Everything is downhill from thereafter.

    - Senator Loretta Weinberg

Thats great, I missed that comment (3.00 / 1)
I was too busy elbowing & kicking 3 ladies aside to get a better picture.

Check out my 3 paragraph primer on Polywell Fusion.

The Folks at Ferriero Headquarters... (2.50 / 2)
...have, no doubt, been watching the full video of this tectonic event with great trepidation.

Thanks again, to Juan for creating this wonderful vehicle for the free flow of information and ideas.

There's no doubt that this race would have taken a different form without the positive and strong involvement of the Blue Jersey community!

So, now that we've had a splendid "kickoff" lets get on with the rest of what will surely be a demanding struggle.

In the words of the great Frederick Douglass:

Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation, are people who want crops without ploughing the ground; they want rain without thunder and lightning; they want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. The struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, or it may be both. But it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand; it never has and it never will.

Any news from the District 37 Convention? (0.00 / 0)
This is a funny video and certainly a terrific plug for Blue Jersey, but I'm dying for some real news about both the Kick-off party and the District 37 Convention.  I assume something will be in the Bergen Record tomorrow, but until then any inside info?

There should be something (3.00 / 1)
Reporters were there and so was a news channel, so I'm sure there will be more about it in the news.  I wonder if they were covering the BCDO District 37 election too.  I'd love to see how many folks went and how many went and did not vote for Wildes, Zisa and Wilson.  I wonder if they even had a quorum.

It must have been quite the buzz kill for Mayor Wildes to think of us partying a stones throw from Englewood City Hall with the brother of the Chairman of the National Democratic Party, while he was consoling Kenny and The Kid at a sparsely attended coronation.

One Vote. Yours. It really does matter.

You're not the only one "dying.... (1.00 / 1)
...for some real news" on what's going on in Bergen County politics.

I'm disappointed to see that there was no coverage in today's Bergen Record.

If you're looking for "inside info"; the beauty of the unscripted spontaneous event last night was/is that extraordinary of substance to be "inside" there is to "inside" about.

Believe it or not politics is supposed to be all about PUBLIC service...which implies keeping the general public informed and not kept in the dark and uninvolved

The clip is a feather in BlueJersey's cap.

If you wish, you can watch last night's proceedings inside the Campaign Headquarters by simply clicking on
