Spitzer's Resignation: Shame on All of Us

A friend who lives a few blocks away was on TV yesterday.  It turns out that the two principles who ran the high priced hooker service that Spitzer frequented live on the 12th floor of her building.  

She had no tidbits of info on them, yet a camera crew spent a half hour "interviewing" her and a few seconds actually aired.  

Just now I heard that Elliot Spitzer is about to cave in and call it a day.

I was one of the folks who was calling for him to resign within a couple of hours of the news breaking; now I regret that.  I was wrong.

Yes, Spitzer is blatantly guilty of hypocrisy and of breaking laws that he himself was stringently prosecuting; on the other hand, there's a profoundly perverse dynamic at play here.

There are crimes and then there are crimes....
